Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North America Scholarship Program

Lallemand Animal Nutrition supports students who are committed to advancing animal agriculture through science, critical thinking and practical application. Our scholarship program is designed for students who ask questions, think independently and are motivated to improve animal performance and well‑being.

Since 2015, Lallemand Animal Nutrition has awarded more than $160,000 USD in scholarships to students pursuing agricultural education and careers across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. 2026 marks our 12th year of continued investment in the next generation of agricultural professionals.

2026 Scholarship Opportunities

Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North America will award the following scholarships to full‑time students:

  • Two (2) $2,500 USD scholarships – Undergraduate students
  • One (1) $3,000 USD scholarship – Master’s student
  • One (1) $3,000 USD scholarship – Doctoral (PhD) candidate
  • One (1) $3,000 USD scholarship – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) student

Scholarships are awarded based on the overall quality of the application, with emphasis on thoughtful, well‑supported and original responses.

About the Selection Process

Applications are reviewed by the Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North America Scholarship Committee. Applicants are evaluated on:

  • Completeness and accuracy of submitted materials
  • Academic performance
  • Creativity, original thought, and progressive thinking demonstrated in the essay response

What Applicants Should Know

  • Applications must be submitted online
  • All materials must be submitted in English
  • Official or unofficial transcripts are accepted
  • Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than November 15th, 2026
  • Funds will be distributed after January 1 of the Spring 2027 semester

Eligibility Requirements

Please review the requirements carefully. Applicants must meet all criteria for their academic level at the time of applying.

Undergraduate Students | Two awards | $2,500 USD each

  • Must be a full‑time student pursuing a four‑year degree in an agricultural discipline, including but not limited to: Animal Science, Agribusiness, Crop Science, Livestock Management, Dairy Science, Agricultural Education, Agricultural Communications, or Agricultural Marketing
  • Have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours (junior status)
  • Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • Submit all required application materials, including:
    • Transcripts
    • Required essay responses

Master’s Students | One award | $3,000 USD

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited master’s program in animal science or a related field
  • Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • Submit all required application materials, including transcripts and essays

Doctoral (PhD) Students | One award | $3,000 USD

  • Be enrolled in an accredited doctoral program in animal science or a related field
  • Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • Submit all required application materials, including transcripts and essays

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Students | One award | $3,000 USD

  • Must be enrolled in your third year of a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) program
  • Be focused on production animal medicine
  • Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • Submit all required application materials, including transcripts and essays
